‘Rio’ is a colonial style hotel with stunning views of mountain peaks, rolling pastures, running rivers, winding valleys and virgin rainforest.

 

The adobe structures with ceramic tiles are combined with bamboo frames and nestled among immaculately manicured flower beds and organic vegetable gardens. It also has a full size heated swimming pool with sun deck and a hot tub that is ideal for star-gazing in the cool evenings.

 

The cozy, spacious rooms all have en-suite bathrooms and private balconies overlooking the valley below.

 

The main ‘Rancho’ has a large communal area with built in sofas, rocking chairs and an open fireplace for the cool nights.

 

The kitchen is attached to the 'Rancho' with an open-air dining room that floods with sunlight in the morning for breakfast. It has breathtaking views that change throughout the day, as the mist and the clouds appear from behind the mountain peaks, only to disappear again in the evening, to reveal clear skies and bright stars, possibly to the sound of coyotes in the distance.

The yoga studio, that is fully equipped with mats, blocks and straps, is an enclosed temple like structure with huge side windows, high vaulted ceiling and a fireplace to create the desired environment for your yoga practice.
